Danny Skarka

Danny SkarkaDanny is our Director of Production, joining the team in the fall of 2011 as Director of Operations.

In 2005, Danny helped launch Al Gore’s Current TV in San Francisco. As Current grew and went international, Danny designed the production facilities and file-based workflows of Current UK, and Current, Italy. He also expanded the capabilities of the US channel with upgrades to the Los Angeles control rooms.

Danny was Lead Technical Director at KRON-TV (NBC) in San Francisco, managing the studio crews, creating branding EFX and taking Operator Design Lead in new facilities. He has also seen time with Major League Baseball, the NFL and Earthquakes Soccer. HIs corporate side includes productions for Apple, Microsoft, Intel, HP and Cisco, to name a few. He’s also been a teacher; developing and teaching graduate and undergraduate classes in Live Television Production as well as Social Media as a Distribution Platform at The Academy of Art University in San Francisco.

Danny lives in Marin with his wife and much smarter daughter and is still awaiting the call from NASA.
